How an agent swaps a Stock Token

A Stock Token on Robinhood Chain is an onchain asset. It is not a share in a Robinhood brokerage account, and it is not something an agent should buy by calling Trading MCP. The swap is a normal chain transaction. The agent prepares it. The person who holds the keys signs it.

stocktoken_explain_routing is the first call. US brokerage equities and options belong on Robinhood Trading MCP. Stock Tokens stay here. They are not share ownership, and they are not offered to US persons.

Use an address from the registry

stocktoken_list with kind=stock returns the canonical contracts. A ticker on a webpage is not enough. If the address is not in that list, the agent should refuse the trade. NVDA, for example, is 0xd0601CE157Db5bdC3162BbaC2a2C8aF5320D9EEC.

Price, then quote

stocktoken_price reads Chainlink and the ERC-8056 multiplier. That number is a reference. It is not the amount of tokens a swap will deliver.

stocktoken_quote is the fill check. It compares hookless Uniswap v4, on-chain v3, and firm API routes, and it keeps the one that returns more of the output token. executable: false means stop. Do not tell the user the swap will land.

A 25 USDG quote into NVDA is the shape of a real request: tokenIn=USDG, tokenOut=NVDA, amountInHuman=25, with the Pro key in x-api-key. On 28 September 2026 that quote was executable on hookless Uniswap v4, fee 100, for about 0.109 NVDA. 0x refused the token. v3 still quoted. v4 returned more. Those amounts move. The call is what matters, not a saved figure.

Hand back a plan

stocktoken_execute_plan builds the unsigned transactions. The owner is the wallet that will sign. A ready v4 plan is an ETH fee of about 10 bps, an approval to Permit2, a Permit2 approval for the Universal Router, and the swap. The server does not broadcast. A v4 plan expires 30 minutes after it is built.

If the quote named a recipient other than the signer, v4 may be set aside, because v4 pays the wallet that sends the transaction. execute_plan with that wallet as owner takes the better route when it is available.
